Our partners
The project brings together six partners from research, policy and industry.

University of Antwerp
The Modeling for Sustainability (M4S) team at the University of Antwerp contributes expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning and renewable energy forecasting.
Its research focuses on translating advanced weather predictions into wind power forecasts and developing methods that support decisions under uncertainty. The university also coordinates collaboration, knowledge exchange and project communication.
Elicio
Elicio is a renewable energy producer active in the development, construction and operation of onshore and offshore wind farms.
As an industrial partner, Elicio contributes operational experience, wind farm data and practical case studies. Its involvement helps ensure that the project addresses real needs in production forecasting, operational planning, PPA design and investment decision-making.

KU Leuven
KU Leuven contributes expertise in electricity markets, energy regulation, power systems and investment planning.
Its research connects forecasting advances with electricity market analysis, power purchase agreements and risk-based infrastructure planning. This includes assessing how turbine selection, storage and hybrid configurations can improve the performance and economic resilience of wind energy projects.

3E
3E provides digital solutions and advisory services to improve the performance of renewable energy assets.
Within NEXT-WIND, 3E contributes expertise in wind asset analytics, operational data and forecasting validation. Its work connects wind power forecasts with market information to support asset management, energy yield assessment and better-informed power purchase agreements.
Royal Meteorological Institute of Belgium
The Royal Meteorological Institute of Belgium contributes expertise in atmospheric modelling, weather prediction and forecast verification.
Within NEXT-WIND, RMI leads the development of the regional machine-learning weather model for wind energy applications. Its work focuses on wind forecasts at turbine height, probabilistic prediction and evaluation against observations.

PropheSea
PropheSea develops data-driven software solutions for energy forecasting, optimisation and market participation.
Within NEXT-WIND, PropheSea contributes expertise in translating weather and market information into practical energy management decisions. Its work supports the development and testing of forecasting methods and their application to renewable generation, flexibility and energy contracts.
